• Taught course entitled “Finding Duende: The Dark Side of Poetry” – Drawing from Lorca’s “Theory and Play of the Duende” and Pablo Neruda’s short essay “Toward an Impure Poetry.”
• Developed syllabus for the course in order to relate the indefinable essence of duende, the bedeviling passion invoked while writing a strong type of poetry.
• Readings focus on Paz, Glück, Oates, et al. Writing poetry was required for the students.
